HealthConnect®
Delivering superior healthcare services in Northern Nevada depends largely on the accurate and timely exchange of information. Physicians can now rely on the HealthConnect network to fill this need.

HealthConnect is a computerized communication network provided to physicians and their staffs that enables them to review and exchange of information quickly between offices and payors. HealthConnect is provided in Northern Nevada by Cynthus Advanced Technology Group.

Physicians and their staff who subscribe to Nevada Health Information Network can now accomplish in minutes tasks that previously took hours and involved intensive review by provider office staff members, masses of paper, and waiting for fax machines. HealthConnect offers the ability to:

 


HealthConnect v2.0

  • Have online access to the Provider Directory, containing all providers contracted with Hometown Health and Primary Care Associates
  • Inquire on eligibility status for all Hometown Health members
  • Determine correct copayments and print that information
  • Search the Hometown Health Formulary
  • Query the databases of CPT and ICD-9 diagnosis and procedure codes
  • Submit Requests for Authorization electronically

HealthConnect  clients can also view and sort claims and eligibility information for the past 180 days with the new Claims EOB database.

As the service grows, HealthConnect will continue to improve quality and reduce the cost of care for Northern Nevada providers.

With Claims EOB, you can:

  • Select information by date of service
  • Sort the data in ascending or descending order
  • Filter your data, so that you can view it by name or by referral, account, claim, or check number.
  • View 25 header records at one time
  • Query the status of a submitted claim
  • View the detail record
  • View and print the EOB for a claim

The Claims EOB system includes a Help option and security features such as certificates and SSL 3.0 encryption.

While the information display resembles the World Wide Web, a provider does not need Internet access to take advantage of these new features. The information will remain within the secure WebNHIN environment.
